Germany's Bruckner predicts turnover increase

Machine manufacturer Bruckner Maschinenbau says orders have this year increased 50%, ensuring that turnover will go up in 2010

“Our projects have a one year duration, meaning that this year’s sales will impact on the results for 2010,” says spokesperson Karlheinz Weinmann. “Next year will be very positive for us.”
Although the company does not release any financial results, this year’s sales have been boosted by orders from overseas. More than 70% of Bruckner’s orders now come from China, says Weinmann. Lines have also been sold to companies in South America, Indonesia and Taiwan.
Bruckner also attributes some of its success to the new multi-gap stretching unit. This offers higher production speeds at lower pinning speeds.
Looking forward, Weinmann says the company will focus on specialty flexible film lines, for example shrink film.
