By 2010 PET production in Russia will grow ten times amounting to 530.6 thousand tons. The result will be achieved by launching new production facilities and developing the existing ones. Thus, JSC Sibur-PETF (Tver) is planning to boost output to 80.6 thousand tons a year. “New polymers plant Senezh, member of Europlast group is going to put in operation the second production line giving 90 thousand tons, which allows PET output grow twice, making up 180 thousand tons. JSC Polief (Bashkortostan) also plans to expand production. The company is going to set in operation a PET-producing line with 120 thousand tons production capacity. Besides it, a production in Kaliningrad with 150 thousand tons productive capacity is about to be launched. By 2012 JSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim plans to build bottle PET producing plant having output capacity of 200 thousand tons a year. Now there are two plants making monoethylene glycol (material for following PET production) ensuring total annual output of 130 thousand tons at the territory of this chemicals enterprise. Besides, a new ethylene producing complex including a plant for making paraxylene, another PET component, is supposed to be built at Nizhnekamskneftekhim.
